Biography:

Li Zhengtian (b. 1942, Hubei Province) is a philosopher and oil painter who teaches at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts (GAFA).
 
Imprisoned during the Cultural Revolution, he published several books on philosophy after his release, and in the 1980s, established the 105 Studio at GAFA to encourage innovation in contemporary oil painting.
