Biography:

Ethan Cohen is the owner of Ethan Cohen Fine Arts in New York, one of the first galleries in the United States to specialize in contemporary Chinese art.

Cohen has produced a number of noteworthy art exhibitions and projects and has accrued a large portfolio of artists from Asia. An art advocate and educator, Cohen helped to establish the Asian Contemporary Art Consortium in 2002, a group comprising museum curators, collectors and gallery directors dedicated to advancing Asian art in New York City. For the last eight years, the Consortium, in association with the Asia Society, has hosted Asian Contemporary Art Week in New York City. In 2008, in collaboration with Scope Art Fair, Cohen founded the Art Asia Art Fair in Miami.

Ethan Cohen Fine Arts has participated regularly in international art fairs in Miami, New York, Basel, Beijing and Melbourne. In partnership with Pace Editions, the gallery also publishes prints of the work of some of the leading Chinese artists.
